He might not be wrong.
7 of those 10 points might be from the defense

There's easy money to be made on the money line if he's that confident that SMU will win...and a 31-10 prediction is pretty darn confident.

I am not as confident as you are. I don't think we score over 17 with CV at QB

That is the question that all these media people such as David Hood or William Qualkenbush should have asked Dabo at the 11 am media time on Monday.

If CV doesn’t play well in the first quarter, Pearman comes in with a chance to make his mark as a top contender to start in 2026. He won’t pass up on that chance and will have a huge game.

So Pearman won't pass up on that chance, but CV will? Why?

If Vizzina looks like he has for the past couple of seasons, combined with what a hot mess our offense already is, we will be lucky to get 10 points.

I have zero confidence in any of our backups to throw the football effectively
Haven’t seen enough from any of them to provide.
What Dabo has to say about CV is irrelevant as it’s just coachspeak.
That being said I would play Denson. Unpopular perhaps but
SMU is going to crowd the box and dare our unproven QB to beat them
A fleet-footed Denson can make them back out and play honest

Clemson will win regardless who plays Quarterback. The Defense will shine and all you fair weather fans can pull for another team for the rest of the season. GO TIGERS!

If they were "fair weather fans" they wouldn't be spending all this time on the message boards during a mediocre season, they would go and do other activities and only return to the message boards again when Clemson was having a great season.

They can though not going so far as predicting they will. Whether it's Vizzina or Pearman, both will have to play better than they have yet. The defense needs to prove that the last 2 games weren't because they were playing inferior competition. A greater commitment to the running game better be part of the game plan as well.
