what this says other than the other QB's they have really suck
TL is by far the epitome of a franchise QB - but starting the first game is difficult - this just shows how sucky the team is.

I love the guy but TL hasn’t really tore it up himself. His accuracy seems a bit off with a lot of balls coming in low. He looked good in the two minute drill Monday night. I think he started reacting more and got out of his head.

From an article I read dated October 21, 2020:
For perspective, the median time to throw among NFL QBs this year is 2.72 seconds, the longest time to throw (the Cleveland Browns’ Baker Mayfield) is 3.20 seconds and the second-fastest time to throw among current starting quarterbacks is 2.49 seconds (the Chicago Bears’ Nick Foles).
The great QBs get the ball out of their hand fast. They have a good idea where they are going with the ball before the snap. After the snap they quickly decide if their pre-snap read was correct. If not, they decide very fast where to go next and the ball is gone. An O-Lines best friend is a quick release QB.

For perspective I’m sure you are gonna post TL’s average release time through 2 preseason games then dismiss all of that since there is no comparison between 2 preseason games and the halfway point of a real season he didn’t play in. But keep hating on a Clemson guy if it gives you a rise you knob.

Jags= worse offensive line in the league! You’d be a little off throwing behind that dumpster fire as well!

As I pointed out yesterday, TL has a higher QBR at this point in his rookie preseason than DW did in his. The stupidity on this board is consistently astounding.

I think it's a bad move to throw him out there behind that horrible OL - they better wrap him in bubble wrap or he'd better take some ballet classes to be nimble on those feet because DL will be coming for him.

With the way the Jags O L has played so far, I think that naming Trevor as the starter was the dumbest decision that Urkle Meyer has made since becoming the Jags HC. TL looked lost in these couple of preseason games, and I don't think that he is believing in that O Line at all!!! He hasn't looked anything like the confident Trevor Lawrence that we saw from the very first snap he took at Clemson, and he never had the best O line at Clemson. And if Meyer starts Trevor, he will be risking the best QB that he will ever have as a NFL HC. And IMO, the Jag O line looks worse than what DW4 started with at Houston.

Payton Manning set the Rookie Record for INT's his first year. He turned out ok. Trevor will be fine, but he does need better protection.

Mistake. I would be aiming for a playoff run year 3 and 4 of Trevor’s contract and use the next two years to beef up oline and receivers while you have the money. Need to keep Trevor healthy and that line can’t do that

the 1-team reps in practice. Calling it now just means TL will get full prep leading in.
It might be rough for him out of the gates, but it will only improve him. With 17 games 7 is a fair O/U in year 1.
