Ticket prices.

I just paid for 4 tickets (upper deck) for my family of four to go to the ClemU/Auburn game on 9/1 and for four tickets (lower deck first base line) to the Braves/Phillies game on 9/2.
Total price for a family of 4 to go to 2 sporting events: $500.
That's too much money.

I have four kids and try to take the whole family to one major sporting event a year. The days of taking the whole family to several pro baseball games in a season seems far away to me. Tickets for just myself and my oldest two were over $450 for a single nfl game last year (they were admittedly very good seats). But, mostly I try to go with friends where I'm only paying for my own ticket.
I was listening to the college sports station on xm last week and they asked listeners to call in with their most expensive ticket stories. All these people kept calling with stories about $50-$100 tickets and I couldn't help but wonder when they last left the house. MLB postseason tickets are pretty much all over $100 face value, nfl is all over $100 except upper deck. College football might put $55 on the ticket, put after seat fees, Iptay, etc your pretty much over $100 a pop for anything but upper deck.

Thats funny me and my girl friend went to Braves and Nats game last week and we payed $10 a ticket off stubhub (front row of the upper deck right behind home) and last Clemson football season it only cost us arounf $300 total for both of us and we only sat in the upper deck once I picked where I want ed to sit without a problem.

Not sure what your sit whereever you want reference means. I was at two Clemson home football games last year and there was no room to breathe in the lower decks. iif you only paid $20 bucks for a seat - unless they are in the several thousand upper deck seats available on a individual basis - someone paid a hell of a lot more for that ticket.
There are always cheap (relatively) seats if your willing to play chicken with the scalpers. I prefer not to leave anything to chance when my children are involved. Six seats together is a little trickier than two.

I meant to add that ticket price is one of the reasons I love college baseball. Very reasonable prices and few things beat a day at he ballpark.

If it's too much money, don't buy them. I wish ticket prices were lower too, but the only reason they are as high as they are is because people are willing to pay it.

I think more and more people are choosing the "don't buy

them" route. Lots of empty seats last season at Clemson and SC. Nobody at many Braves games.
I went ahead and paid top dollar (face value) for the Braves game since we only go once-or-twice a year and I wanted my kids to have good seats.
I guess if Cole Hamels got paid ONLY $65 million instead of $130 million - seats would be $30?
