and I’ll be most excited to follow the LPGA INTERNATIONAL TEAM EVENT being held in San Francisco . . . While there are no Tigers on our USA Squad, there is one playing for England . . . Alice Hewson.

THURSDAY-SATURDAY PLAYING FORMAT
Each country will play two Four-Ball (also called Best-Ball) Matches against each of the other three Countries in their Pool. The #1 Ranked USA Team is in Pool A, along with #4 Ranked Sweden, #5 Ranked England and #8 Ranked China.

Thursday - USA vs CHINA
Friday - USA vs ENGLAND
Saturday - USA vs SWEDEN

The Top 2 Teams out of each Pool will go to Sunday Morning’s Semifinals . . . The losers of the Semis will play each other Sunday afternoon for 3rd Place . . . while the Winners from the Semis will play for the Championship. The Semifinals and Championship Rounds will consist of 2 Singles Matches and 1 Four-Ball (also called Alternate Shot) Match.

In Pool Play, Alice’s Team will play:
Sweden on Thursday
USA on Friday
China on Saturday

Of Course I’ll be pulling for the USA . . . but Alice will get my warmest blessings for an outstanding week of play!!!

We should be able to follow the Tournament here:

in the PGA attachments, you know that I follow Akshay Bhatia . . . Most Great Golfers have “wear spots” on their irons, directly in the sweet spot and about the size of a dime . . . It shows their consistency and ball striking ability . . .

In the pictures attached, take a look at Akshay’s putter . . . I have never seen a “wear spot” on a putter before in my LIFE!!!!!!

I wonder how many strokes it takes to wear such a spot . . . and the spot is a perfect circle . . . does he not miss-hit any putts?!!!

Dang that is a lot of practice to get that kind of wear. Was pulling for him Sunday. He still ended up with a great tournament. First I had ever heard of him.

It’s often been said, “You can’t WIN the Tournament on Opening Day, but you sure as H3LL can lose it!” This is where Ben has landed this week in Charlotte.

I was proud of Carson for starting with back-to-back bogeys, only to regroup and finish his opening 9 @ -1 . . . the next hole, a Par 5, he found bunkers twice and missed a 10’ Par Putt to fall back to a even Par for the tournament. I’m still impressed with his resiliency after the awful start!

Yeah, I am too. Ben's approach shots have been spotty the last couple weeks. Hopefully not an injury.

Lucas doing Lucas. He goes and bogeys the easiest hole on the course after sitting dead square in the fairway 105 left and hits it 80 yards... then sky's it over and has to scramble for bogey. Overall, he's in great shape at -2.

Carson. That's two holes bunker to bunker. Hopefully another 🐦 coming in.

Thursday IS in the books . . .

PGA TOUR
in Charlotte . . .
Lucas historically plays well at Quail Hollow and today was no exception . . . His -2 has him T-25th Place . . .
Carson rallied well, but faltered a bit on 18 . . . His +2 left him T-101, but within range of a Projected Cut of -2
Doc and Ben will need miraculous rounds to find a paycheck this week

LPGA TOUR
TEAM PLAY in San Francisco . . .
Our USA Team split their matches with China . . . My gal, Danielle, didn’t help Lexi much at all . . . but I’ve learned never to count her out
Alice had a rough day, as did the other English Team . . . They will be paired against the USA tomorrow.
The Top 2 Teams out of the around Robin Pool Play will advance.

Crisp and Straight ALL DAY FRIDAY TIGERS!!!

First trip to the Quail today. What a beautiful place. I know there’s Augusta, but this place can’t be too far behind. Quite the venue. I appreciate all of your efforts and updates.
