Had some family relatives who served in the Army Air Corps in WW2......really an untold story until now. Since it's Veterans Day weekend, thought it appropriate to put this out there. We all owe that generation so much, we should remember them this weekend.

Just like Band of Brothers was based on the book by the same name,

The Pacific was based on Helmet for My Pillow by Robert Leckie and With the Old Breed by Eugene Sledge. Masters of the Air is based on a book. If the upcoming mini series is anything like the book, it's going to be one #### hell of a show.

There's something in these hills.

####. I hate it is on AppleTV. But if it is half as good as Band of Brothers...

It will be fantastic.

The Pacific was good too… It just never quite rose to the excellence of BOB

BOB was one of the greatest productions ever filmed. I watch the entire series at least once a year. Pacific was ok but never lived up to BOB. I am hesitantly optimistic about MOTA

What they went through I.e. Great Depression. And then wwII! I’m so thankful to have been a grandchild of that generation. Our country and society owes them.

If you are fortunate enough to have B of B, or Pacific on blu-ray disc, you know how incredibly better the audio is vs streaming it on Netflix etc. Get the blu-ray if you can.

This is good with amazing footage if you haven't seen it. It has real voices from the crews, but they are all dead now. Anyway, it's a good warm up if you haven't seen it. Watched it a few days ago on HBO.

I’ve seen all 9 episodes as there is as an advance release for the media. This is really well done. Not sure people really realize how tough and how many casualties the bomber boys suffered. Daylight raids into the heart of Germany was nothing but a suicide mission. Anyone who made it through their 25 and then 35 missions has no one but the good lord to thank.

More people in the 8th Airborn that flew died than Marines in WW2. Wild. Terrifying.
