This is what Fauci said

Apr 13, 2020, 2:21 PM

"I mean, obviously, you could logically say that if you had a process that was ongoing and you started mitigation earlier, you could have saved lives. Obviously, no one is going to deny that. But what goes into those kinds of decisions is complicated."

Duh, we could have shut the country down in early Feb and completely closed off the Airports. What he said was clearly nothing against Trump and Trump's retweet was clearly nothing against Fauci.

But the brain dead media...

People see what they want to see.

Fake news gathers a lot of clicks.

Trump brings it on himself. He does and says #### that are crazy. Then says he didn't mean it. How many times we gonna run this movie???

"Trump retweets #firefauci tweet, raising speculation of a frayed relationship
President Trump sparked speculation about his relationship with the country's top disease expert Sunday night after he retweeted a post that called for the doctor's job."

And if the MSM prints the exact same story...it's Fake News.

Exactly. It's a "hindsight is 20/20" statement.

We can't operate based on things we don't know yet. If we had known then what we know now, of course things would be different. It's an obvious statement and not a criticism or attack on anyone.

Let me just say this fwiw.... Probably not much. Believe it or not, I could careless. I hate politics and am neither rep or dem. I've voted issues every year since 73, local and national.

Fauci knew what he was saying. He's sticking around for the country he loves, not Trump. He's one smart cookie and he knew what he was looking at. Trump didn't want to hear it. He was totally consumed about November. Navarro sp, was a knat that Trump wanted to go away. All that will come out.

I preface that by saying after 33 years in state government, I've worked with people in a lot of different agencies. Trump gutted a lot of institutional knowledge and put people in places who really didn't have a clue how Gov rolls. POTUS thought he could run Gov like a business and you can't. Not now.

I've spoken with a couple peeps at dhec as well as hospital administrators. All have said it's a total mess in DC. We're so far behind the curve that it's scary. There's a lot of people behind the scenes working day and night. But like a trout upstream.

States had to take over and it's created chaos. A lot of what you all claim as left wing media hype is simply not true. Are they spinning it to make Trump look bad, certainly. But reality is Trumps team is stumbling. Missteps one after the other.

Good luck if he opens the country up. There is no plan in place for any consistent testing. There is no plan to manage the supply chain. Get ready for empty shelves for a while. They're trying but unfortunately it takes time... What irks me to no end is the blame game that he's playing putting on the doorsteps of state, local Govs.

The Defense Act and the National guard should have been deployed in full force from the very beginning... Even if we were late to the table, there was still time to be in a much better place than where we are now.
