in a mid-season game where the season is already shot for playoff purposes then start for the first time in a season opener. I just wish the coaches turned him loose more in games and run the regular offense instead of all handoffs and QB Keepers. Cade may still play and probably won't miss more than a week, but I'd like to see Vizzina get some real meaningful PT.

Lol I didn't say start the rest of the season, I said for this game. Cade is probably still going to dress and play if need be. But it would still be good to see where CV is as a QB if plays meaningful time where he actually gets to use the playbook. It's not like they're going to try to lose if CV is playing. There's no guarantee Cade would light it up anyways, you never know. He hasn't played well at home all year either.

You will be sorely disappointed . As bad as Cade has been , Vizzina is not the answer . He lacks arm strength and that eliminates lots of routes that he can’t throw .

Personally...I don't think any QB on the roster is the answer for next year, I think a QB in the portal is the only thing that could help next season. Might be right about CV, but we've yet to see him play in meaningful mins. Maybe Reynolds becomes a stud for the next few years after. But as of right now, next season looks real grim at the QB spot.

Tait will be no help next season after missing his senior season. He has to have time develop more.

That may be true, but maybe CV will not lock onto just one receiver. Maybe he will see the whole field and find some wide open receivers.

After seeing him the last few series I’d rather he get another entire spring and summer. Cade hasn’t lived up to the preseason hype but is miles better than. Cv. This season has been the longest already in a long long time.

I want CV to start as well.
Let Cade heal up. It's like the season really matters at this point. We can't make the ACCCG or the playoffs. Don't risk Cade hurting himself even more. Let him rest that ankle.
CV can start so we can see what we have for 2026. If he stinks, then we know that we will need to pursue a QB from the portal. If he's good, then we know that he's capable.

Dabo needs his hand forced to go after a true QB1 in the portal.

Let's get the confirmation that we need while also allowing Cade proper time to heal his ankle.
If Clemson was in contention for the ACCCG and a playoff spot, then I would start an injured Cade obviously. But we aren't. No point in risking Cade injuring his ankle further.

The odds of us making the ACCCG are about 1 in a thousand though.

I hope you don’t mean Christopher for Vizena because they don’t even trust him enough to throw it. They made him run run run run. He is not all that.

I don't think you and some other are understanding the point of the post. I would rather Cade start even if he's 80-90%, again...I'd rather Cade be the starter lol. BUT...if he has to sit! I would rather CV get his start now and see what he has under meaningful snaps and using the whole playbook (So we know for next year) as oppose to his first start coming in the season opener. So yes...save this post, cause whether he does good or bad, at least we know and that's all I want to see in a 3-3 season where the playoffs are already gone.
