Cannot fire the Presidents unqualified son when your two unqualified sons are on the coaching staff. In addition, coaches brother and other family members are working in the football complex. See the problem. I am sure with all the ballers Dabo has been recruiting someone other than his son could be a holder and we could use the extra money to pay better quality athletes. The issue is obvious and it rubs players the wrong way.
Hows the recruiting class coming? Dabo needs to right his ship.

Antonio Williams could not possibly have been any better. What?? Threat of running or passing is no threat when any of the Swinney boys are holding. Master the Obvious. Way better athletes could have been holders. Swinney boys played football at Clemson for only one reason.

But that's kinda like GWB2's contribution during the Vietnam War. Daddy got him in the Air National Guard to make sure he wouldn't have to tote a rifle in rice paddies. But to his credit, not a single MIG-29 penetrated Alabama airspace.

Is that why we're losing commitments because he bought plain M&Ms instead of peanut for the gift baskets? No, it's because we're 3-4 and recruits turn on the TV to see fans booing the team at home; maybe we should fire some of those people. Dude is a glorified flight attendant; I don't know how good or bad he is at his job, but I can say hes 10 pages deep on the list of people to blame.

He’s the Director of Recruiting.
You do understand that having the President of Clemson University’s son in that role, along with Dabo’s kids on staff could cause some conflicts of interest right? Along with some mixed feelings from players and other staff members right?
I worked for an employer whose entire family was on staff. It’s not a good thing, trust me.

General Manager Jordan Sorrels. Sorrels is effectively in charge of recruiting at Clemson. Clements doesn’t even have a role in player development. There is a director of player personnel development and a director of talent acquisition; who are way more important in bringing in talent than Clement’s.
You do understand the recruits don’t give two sheets about who the daddy is of the guy who brought em Chic-fila? Again he’s just a host period. He ain’t scouting players, deciding who to offer, calling recruits, visiting homes; none of the real recruiting.
People are mad about the season we’re having and just looking for stuff to beach about.

I don’t care what his exact responsibilities are. I think it’s representative of a culture issue and an entitlement issue.
I believe it can send a wrong message to the players,, and that can translate to how guys prepare and play.
Let me ask you this… do you think it’s a good idea to hire friends, family, and your superior’s family?

He’s stating that it’s Clement’s fault that our recruiting class is taking on water and that he should be fired for it; that’s a stupid take. The guy has NO role in scouting, selecting or evaluating players. That’s all I’m here to say; that it’s a giant nothing burger.
The guy started as an entry level coordinator in 2016 and ten years later he’s a director; maybe he’s good at his job we don’t know. Clearly he got the opportunity because of his father, that doesn’t necessarily mean he progressed to where he is now because of it.

You seem to be triggered by the amount hes being paid and I thought it was because a football staffer shouldn't be paid more than a tenured professor, are you upset that the Bama staffer gets paid 2 times as much as the professor.
No question Clements got his foot in the door because of his last name, but he wasn't given a$185K a year job by his daddy. He was given an opportunity to work in an entry level position as a recruiting coordinator at a much lower salary. 10 years later hes a director making $185K. Is it entirely out of the realm of possibility that he earned his promotions over 10 years of hard work? If your father had been in a position to open doors for you in your desired field would you have declined the opportunity?

I didn't have that "problem". LOL. I'd like to think that I wouldn't, like a friend I met at CU. His dad owned a big construction company. He always said he didn't want to slide into a corner office like his two brothers did. He chose to take a job with a different company and prove himself, and he did well. Eventually he did return to the family business after his dad died. But I always admired him for the path he chose.

Like 9 figures rich. So the guy I work with started as an entry level employee at our company and is working his way up. He's eventually gonna join his dad's company after he gets some of his own business experience. Clements probably shoulda done something like that; maybe his dad coulda made an introduction at WVU. But my only point is that just because he didn't do that doesn't mean he isn't qualified for the job he has.
