I don't really get it. Cole was one of our worst QBs ever, so we put in player development. Streeter WAS our worst quarterback ever, so we make him the QB coach. He proceeds to be a terrible one (Deshaun didn't like Streeter and hired a private coach; Kelly Bryant, Chase Bryce, and Hunter Johnson (also the dude who went to Jacksonville State) all regressed as passers under him and go a bit better after they left (Chase a LOT better); Trevor came in game-ready but his passing did NOT improve as he spent more time in college; DJ came in as the unanimous #1 or #2 QB who led an incredible comeback to win the national title against the Heisman winner and a team with nothing but P5 starters and turns into the worst quarterback in the country last year and bottom 30% this year; Cade comes in as the #1 QB who won the Elite 11, won the hardest division of high school football while shattering records, and had several NFL pro-bowlers calling him the future. His passing isn't there yet either, despite being at Clemson for a year.
So what do we do, we make him the offensive coordinator.

Cole was not great but certainly not one of the worst. Streeter was a gamer at QB on very poor Tommy West teams, played really well on Bowden's 1st Tiger team. Of all the ignorant posts you see after a loss - your ignorance truly stands out - go root for the coots.

You should have refreshed your memory before saying I was ignorant. In 1999, Tommy's first year, when he played "really well", these were his stats: 1400 yards (second to last for all FBS QBs for a starter), 6.8 ypa (bottom 20), second lowest passer rating in the FBS (LSU's starter was worse), 4 touchdowns (last in the FBS), 9 interceptions.
That's really well for you? He was benched at the end of the season of Woody....

Streeter broke his collar bone. Thats why Woody entered the game.

You're the one making up history. Woody took over because of an injury, but there was no doubt in anyone's mind that Streeter was done, period, after Woody took over. That happens all the time where someone is injured, but then the backup is so good the starter is benched. That's what happened then.

It seems the regression of our QBs including TLaw is obvious to most ppl except Dabo + we missed on WRs again. But what bothered me most about last night…>> ND was looking for a fight entering locker room at halftime, talking trash up 14-0. Clemson was looking to get warm. Absolutely no fight!

Yeah I don’t really understand putting nothing but ex-players on the staff. I understand their love Clemson, but I won’t make you a great coach. I love Clemson too, and played soccer for many years, including Clemson club team, but if you made me the soccer coach, we would suck

Until we quit only hiring guys that played here this is our future. And since the ACC sucks on a national level there won’t be any catastrophic failures to spur change. This is simply a frog gradually boiling itself to death. When everyone finally wakes up we will be happy to just be ranked in the top 25.

There’s a lot wrong with your logic, but I’m more appalled with the throwing of a former Tiger under the bus for what I can tell is no apparent reason.
