Kinda feel bad for the backup DEs

Yeargin, Kelly, Foster, Rudolph, Register, and the freshman. They all had to think this was their chance to be the star. Great for us tho and I know they are not selfish. Luckily the young ones will have time to make names for themselves.

Not last year. We did more at corner and DT. Yes at RB but not at DE. We did some tho.

probably two of the freshman in the rotation earlier in the game would be a big asset next year.

You think Thomas or Henry beat out Kelly, Foster, Rudolph, and Register for the other spot in the 2 deep?

Personally, I think Henry needs to gain some weight but I’ve yet to see anyone that can legitimately block Xavier Thomas. He will be neck-in-neck with every DE veteran on our team day 1.

I agree but we have 10 DEs and only 4 are going to get many snaps. Maybe 5 or 6. 4 will get the majority tho. I would guess Mascoll RS just to gain weight but he could be the best of the freshman.

I’m with you that mascoll is a better true DE today (not factoring in upside) than KJ, but neither of them is close to XT right now or in the future

Oh yes for sure. I am very thankful but that doesn't change the fact that Ferrell and Bryant will obviously take way more than half the snaps.

We didn't sub a whole lot at DE this year. I do believe we have more depth with experience with Yeargin and another year under Kelly's belt and a year with Rudolph and Foster. We didn't sub last year a lot because they were young. Wonder what happens to Register. Will he keep his spot in the 2 deep? Will the freshman play any?
