Solely on pure luck? Just wanted to know if they know that.
We didn’t need a tying FG. Cade was going to throw a TD. It was inevitable with how easy the drive was going. Their defense was gassed, and well, it just showed another flaw in year 2 of Riley. Not running quick tempo all game long regardless. Once they do, it works. But maybe we figured out a better system this year.

Eh. Goodwin was the biggest issue, but I also remember having the lead in the 2nd half driving deep into their territory. And we obviously couldn’t capitalize on offense.
That’s not the point though. We had their defense beat. No answers.

Lol SMU had zero business being in that game we played them. I don’t know if we would’ve played someone besides Texas if we had beaten Carolina, but the Texas game also got him fired

But in all seriousness in answer to your question, NO. When they win, and it's usually by the skin of their teeth they attribute it to one of the following:
1) SEC membership
2) Ball finally bounced their way/Clemson ran out of luck.
3) The Darla Moore School of Business.
4) They're on the "verge" of winning several National Championships 🏆 / Clemson's best days are over.

They beat us on our home field for the second time in a row. In both games, they made plays when the game was on the line and we kind of choked.

If Cade throws that last pass a little better I think Mafah may have scored. I can’t see everything in front of him but if he would have caught the ball in stride and got one block he may have scored. But he didn’t 😞

I believe this is the game where Dabo gave up 3 points which means Clemson would have Win this game.
I hope Dabo learns from DF Clemson always needs a talented FG kicker every season. Clemson has lost a few games because we did not have an elite FG.
I believe Chris Gardocki was one of the best all around specialists as the FG / EP kicker and Punter to play for Clemson. He was great as a punter, FG / EP kicker and the kickoff guy as well. There have been others under DF , TB, and Dabo.

The Man I refer to as Spiller the Thriller was an an Elite Punt Retuner 🐅. 2006-2009. In fact CJ was Elite almost every time he touched the ball.
I honestly believe we could have beat the coots in DV during one of our loses we handed to U of SC. 10 consecutive seasons if we had a great to elite kicker when we were struggling in the Redzone 🐅🐅🐅. But 8 out of 10 seasons is still impressive.

Their last 2 wins were like that, they didn't look like better team each time. It's like they have to have everything under the sun go their way just to squeak out a 1-3 pt win. But if everything like that went our way, its a 20+ point blowout, that's the dif. Between not finishing drives to do terrible review calls, dumb turnovers and play calling trying to get to cute. Mafah signle handedly turned it over like 4 times against them in his career. I loved Mafah, but he was like the coots best player in those games.

Could you argue Dabo lost the last 2 games at home to them? He made the decision to play big stinko in 22, and he was the coach that hired a bunch of buddies and bums after his championship caliber staff got better jobs….
But yes, I still can’t believe they allowed that QB to shove his junk down our throats all game running the ball. I’ve actually never seen anything like that I saw that day.
