True. I'm glad the state of FL got involved with this as it should ensure that pressure is steadily applied against the ACC. The state has the resources to litigate against any conference.
I'm not sure the state of SC would stand up for Clemson the way FL has for FSU.

What?
This is a terrible result, and Florida's AG overplayed her hand. It was reckless and sloppy, and now you have the Big10, SEC, Big12, ESPN and FOX aligned with the ACC.
Any scenario that aligns them to the ACC and against FSU lawsuits and us indirectly only puts more litigation between schools leaving the ACC.
You think the Big 10 or SEC will create offers while they are fighting against the Florida AG about the very contracts in question?
FLorida State better reel her in and her lawsuit, and rethink their whole approach to their own suit as this scored strategy is starting to backfire, as it brought together the conferences we want to join with the conference we want to leave.

... think that the AG is pulling a political stunt. She's up for reelection. So, she's doing what politicians do.
I'd be surprised if her suit does anything more than increase her campaign coffer.

State of Florida has just as many idiots as South Carolina! When you jump off the RR bridge at Anderson you might think about what's beneath you or how deep the water is! It's just getting started!

Nobody wants their commercial contracts made public! Not FOX or ESPN or NBC...nobody! Any advantage could be destroyed in a public airing...next folks may think twice about making a deal with a welcher!

Sounds like a bunch of idiots did not think before they jumped! If FSU & CCC get sued by ESPN and then the other power conferences and their separate institutions there will need to be some Kentucky jelly applied to private parts...FSU actually has a law school?

What “STANDING” does the SEC, B1G or BIG12 have, in an agreement between CU & the ACC or FSU & the ACC?
How is anything to do with the ACC, ANY of those other conferences business?

It's called a commercial contracts and there are a host of laws that go beyond two lost dogs looking for someone else's bone! They have just gotten started with all of the legal toilets that have to be flushed before sewage treatment begins! Bet no portal looks so good to Dabo for a reason!

Fine. Commercial Contracts.
What part does the SEC play, in a Commercial Contract between the ACC & ESPN or the ACC & FSU or FSU & ESPN?
I’m betting if that contract is 100,000 pages, that the SEC is never mentioned in it.

Hypothetical.
Let’s say I have State Farm Homeowners Insurance and you have State Farm Homeowners Insurance.
And your home burns down.
I can’t sue State Farm just because I don’t like how they are treating you.
My agreement with State Farm has nothing to do with you and vice versa.
So I’ll ask again. What does the SEC have to do with ANY agreements between the ACC, its member schools and ESPN?

W/ all the changes regarding paying players, they may be trying to protect the TV money from being paid out to players. Think there's still pending NCAA litigation out there where TV deal $ is a crux of the argument.

LOL. Why would anyone care about the Big 12's meager 31.7m per school deal that is actually split with FOX and how they got it?

Did you really think that everyone else was just going to stand around and let us and the savages pick their pockets and do nothing...we have let the ACC treat us terribly for ten years...and now we blame the conference and everyone in it! Let's forgive them and take all the money and leave for the new conference that will respect us like we deserve!

A big nothing burger.
This changes absolutely nothing.
One last time…you don’t see your conference and not leave. There is no reconciliation.
There is also no big 12 either. That’s not happening
Ignore the idiots, ignore the ACC plants.
It’s a great time to be a Tiger!

They could care less about the ACC, but they know if the ACC loses, the legal bar will be set and they will face similar challenges to reveal their contracts as well.

Do you think the SEC and Big 10 will be knocking down the door of FSU if by somehow trade secrets are revealed through litigation they initiated? Hello it's FOX and ESPN paying the bills for them.
ESPN even said in their doc it could keep networks from engaging in states that push this.
We need them alot more than they need us. Our quiet understated suit is succeeding more than the whacky flame throwing Nole lawyers.
The need to pull back and reset before we're stuck in the ACC for 5+ years.

Valid point but there is absolutely zero chance a network would not "do business" in the state of Florida.
Clownish for them to even say that out loud.
