These guys are different. Plus we have a lot of new players, so its not like he has loyalty to players that have been around.

I agree with you. We may see a little of them in November, but seem to disappear after that. Plenty of games he had chances to get other players minutes but you only see them the last 2 minutes of a 30 point win.
He'll play the transfers.

Why are those saying that when Del Jones played last year as freshman? Can't help that he wanted to transfer, but he played.
Zac Foster was a top 60-65 type recruit which is right up there with PJ Hall under Coach Brownell. Thompson looks to be very underrated.

That's true, but Foster and Thomas will at least be in the 10-15 minute range, similar to Del Jones. Unfortunately, I think Buckner might be the odd man out. From everything I've heard, he is a similar player to Butta Johnson (more defensive-minded), so Johnson will likely get the minutes.
I wish Thompson could get some time this year, but I feel like he'll be in the same boat as Asa Thomas where he just doesn't get chances due to the starting lineup being set.
I think the main rotation is this (with rough estimations for minutes based on last year's minutes spread):
PG: Hunter (30 MPG) SG: Porter (30 MPG) SF: Godfrey (25 MPG) PF: Welling (once he's back from injury) (20 MPG -> 25 MPG once 100%) C: N. Davidson (30 MPG) 6th: Johnson (25 MPG) 7th: Wahlin (starts until Welling is fully recovered) (20 MPG) 8th: Foster (13 MPG) 9th: Thomas (13 MPG -> 8 MPG after Welling is 100%)
That's if Brad wants to go with 9 guys. Welling can get more time once he is 100%, which would effectively remove Thomas from the rotation, although Welling topped out at 25 minutes last year when healthy. Once he stays in longer, Wahlin and Godfrey would take most of, if not all, the minutes at SF.
Foster could also get more minutes, with Hunter and Johnson never averaging over 30 minutes a game he could a regular off the bench. Thomas could also play SG, as I don't think he's strong enough for PF, which could get him more minutes.
