Sarkisian IMO is an average to “good” coach. When I see him all I see is someone who cannot develop, he doesn’t make anyone better - he wins on talent alone. It’s sickening to her the ESPN love affair with “Sark” . He Buy$ players . Period. He won’t win a NC ever. IF and (we didn’t) we had a DC that knew what he was doing last year in Texas we’d have won that game. He has always given me the vibe of a snake.

You clueless if you think we don’t pay our recruits but the fact that Texas has way more money to offer is obvious to anyone with eyes. 35-40 mill they will pay their roster this year alone. If you think Clemson pays that same amount then you’re crazy. It’s obvious Texas has unlimited booster money to throw a huge bag at any recruit they want. Some kids don’t take the bag and go elsewhere like Quinn but they offered him money too! Many sports writers are sayin Texas is payin so much they will be the end to this type of NIL Go Tigers!!

Haven’t checked the rankings lately. Recruiting rankings seem to change in favor of the sites with the most subscribers.
Not sure if BPW, got that fifth star, but he was a text book Clemson lock pre-NIL. I stand by the decision of our program not to pay a high school kid anywhere near what P. Woods and Parker is getting.
You don’t retain Vic Burley or Steph Green if you do that. Amare Adams is going to be the next big deal at DT. You don’t even give him whatever Amare is getting. Make that mistake watch our outgoing portal hit FSU levels.

It’s really quite simple. Clemson pays money just like everyone else. They just don’t LEAD with money. Culture is first. We pay what we consider fair market value. We don’t get into bidding wars. Dabo wants players that fit the culture. If money is their most important factor, they aren’t what Dabo is looking for. If they commit to the culture, they will be compensated appropriately. Why is this so hard to understand?

And that is exactly why we did so good at retaining our roster this year. Once Woods and Capehardt leaves we will benefit from taking care of the backups. Trust me other programs came hard after our backup DT’s.

Well actually that’s more on the fan base not contributing to build a large NIL bank account. Dabo and staff can still get some elite players to visit and include the Tigers in their top 5, but if money is the deciding factor then $16.5M of revenue share isn’t enough to buy a HS recruit. Add $10-15M in NIL endorsement money and Jordan Sorrells might be able to get that coveted 5 star CB or DT to sign.
