yes, its real. however, its from 2 years ago. funny thing- she didn't have proper tags or either harvested illegally, and she was fined. ha.

Bet the warden got a laugh out of writing that one. Wonder how you even manage getting the wrong kind of gator tags.. I wouldn't know being from the upstate.

you put in for tags and get drawn for a certain area and are only allowed to hunt in there. Idk if that was the case with this particular one because I do not know the story, but thats a possibility of how she could have had improper tags

If it was 2 years ago as stated above, then yes, that is exactly how this works. I live about 20 minutes from where this was taken (Black's Camp) and this picture has blown up my Facebook recently. This is the most I've heard about it, though. Everybody just posts the picture, never the details. Pretty hefty fine from what I understand, too.

mention her being fined, but most did mention she had a permit & tag, and they used a guide out of Black's Fish Camp. It is very unlikely a guide would take people out not properly permitted. So please provide a link regarding her being fined.

4 miles from there on the East side of the lake. It is common to see them off our dock over 10 ft. We have seen 2 that size in the past 10 years. They are beasts!

funny thing is that place where the picture was taken at is where I stay when I go to Santee. Always seems to be a gator hanging around the docks there.
