I understand Clemson was up big against a team who is struggling big time, and I understand letting the 2 string QB get reps, but I feel like Cade should've stayed in longer so he can keep boosting his confidence. Just my opinion.

What are your thoughts? Was anyone else disappointed they took Cade out so early?

The first team is who needs the reps this year. I am not sure playing backups is a luxury we can really afford.

the FUTURE. Cade is NOT the future, and sacrificing any remote possibility of developing for the future for the sake of an 8-4 best-case-scenario is ridiculous, doinky doink. And if we're honest, 7-5 or 6-6 is more likely because this highly-vaunted DL struggled to get sacks on arguably the worst team in the nation; and our overall OL grade against that same terrible team was "DISGRACE".

My sense is this is a no win situation. What if QB1 gets hurt? Then there is all kinds of second guessing - Why was QB1 in that long? QB2 needs reps. I understand there are a lot of people down on QB1 right now. Not saying they are right or wrong.

No they needed to get Reps for the backup quarterbacks.

There's way too much armchair quarterback and going on at this point. If Klubnik had stay exin the game, then you'd have people complaining that the backups didn't experience when it was a blowout.

Plus if any starters got injured, you'd have people complaining of the backup should have been playing to prevent that.
