The story of 2 cats and emotional support

So about 3 years ago the wrestler Hacksaw Jim Duggan and his wife Debra gave us 2 kittens. My husband was not really a cat person, and was dealing with the beginning of his disability. We made the trip to their home, got the kittens, hungout, and returned home.

One kitten was really fuzzy, and almost a camo color(she blends in with everything but snow!), the other is gray with a white belly, white socks on her back legs, and white toes. They are both fixed and chipped.

I didn't know how my tough, hard nosed, and sometimes unpredictable husband would take to them. But, he babies those cats!!🤣 Both have more to do with him than me, follow him around like dogs do, and have to sleep right beside him! One will actually eat your butt up if you touch her when she's near him!

The amazing part is, they provide him with company when I'm at work. He feels depressed alot being disabled, and has never fully accepted the fact that he went from a athletic, active person to one who actually needs help. He's legally blind, diabetes has ravaged him, and he stays sick almost daily. But these 2 cats have become children to him, and he doesn't get as down when they are near. It's so funny to see a 6'5, 236lb man cuddling up with 2 mean cats!🤣 But I thank God for the comfort they provide him, the companionship, and the hope it gives him.

Awesome story....I never wanted much to do with cats until my girlfriend (ex now) got one for us. The girlfriend has been long gone but my little buddy has stayed by my side for 10 years and I love him to death.

It taught me a lesson in some ways to not be so quick to judge something or someone that I know very little about.
