Inside the SEC bubble, they can control whatever they want. However, this year when they had to play outside their conference, they really haven't been up to the standard they try to portray. Alabama lost to Texas, struggled against South Florida and nearly (and should have) lost to Auburn who got blown out by New Mexico the week before. Georgia barely beat Auburn (see above), didn't have a tough SoS, and lost to Alabama in the conference championship. There are at least 3 other teams that have earned their spots in the CFP by going undefeated and winning their conference championship, and I would argue a 4th in Texas considering they won the head to head vs Alabama. The fact that people are trying to twist the criteria to get their team is not surprising, it's easy to feel entitled after all these years of success. This is sports, and you don't earn it on paper, you earn it on the field. I feel like Michigan, Washington, FSU and Texas have earned it on the field this year. For everyone else, better luck next year.

Why is it that the "talking heads" are saying FSU should be left out, why not Michigan, why not Washington. I don't think either of those 2 teams can beat FSU, Texas maybe. It's all because of the ESPN and SEC Bull$hit. I believe FSU will be left out, because of this and the ratings money!
FSU out performed BAMA in all categories, even in the SEC, if FSU is left out, it's criminal.

Bama conf champs yes but...

Alabama struggled against a mediocre auburn and a middling second tier team from florida and got beat by 2 scores at home. Ga had a marshmallow schedule.
Struggled against bad so car and ga tech teams and couldn't even win their conference.

Neither pass the eye test.
