For me when I read that a wide receiver will start at running back! You mean to tell me there is nobody prepared to start at running back so you start a guy who has never played that position on this level? How is this possible and why in the transfer portal era have we not fixed this problem? Make it make sense!!!

You apparently not been following what has been going on. We have good running backs, including a converted receiver. The running backs were not the problem in the LSU game.

we threw the towel in early on the ground game when it wasn't working. should have tried it more. Try 2 back set. Dumps, screens to back. Just kep w the same tired old stuff. Even when the 2 back set got us a td we couldnt dump it fast enough subesquently. Riley is not vry good as an OC and qb coach.

I do not often give my opinion on play calling but because there were so many games involving Top 10 matchups last weekend, it was obvious that QBs that got the ball out quickly on short patterns, were more successful than others. We still have to start with running the football but short passes especially to tight ends and slot receivers gives you a chance to beat the blitzes.

The issue is we meed a QB that doesn’t panic and will go through his progressions.

Doesn't really matter who the RBs are if we are only gonna hand them the ball twice in an entire half of a close game.

Clemson has two highly rated running backs. Dabo is loyal to Randall for staying at Clemson. Clemson will never sign the best running back in the country. Seniority at Clemson means more to Dabo.

No other major college football program would have done that, but we did.
Nothing wrong with moving a player to a new position - but moving a senior WR to RB, and to make him the starter, in game one against a top 10 team?!?
The arrogance necessary to do stuff like this, and expect it to be successful, is mind boggling.

Sad part is, even if the freshman is good enough to start day 1, seniority Dabo won't allow it so like everything else, we'll never know the real scoop about the RB situation.
