The Realignment Prediction Board.

Ok for the 1000th time.lol
Seriously though, here is what I think will happen. It may not happen tomorrow or next month, but it will go like this when it does happen:
The SEC is not going to allow the BIG to scoop up more premier programs without an answer. To allow the BIG to talk to the big boys in the ACC and scoop them away would be a big win. A big advantage for teams like Clemson and FSU is that there are not many big boys left.
Therefore, I see the SEC taking 4 teams to get to 20. 1. Clemson(It's the perfect fit. A big brand. A football giant at the height of it's powers) 2. FSU(Strong football and fertile recruiting grounds) 3. UNC(Biggest brand in NC which moves them into a new market) 4 UVA(Another big new market and a brand that is not great, but has more growth potential than VT-although I like VT better as a football fit.)
BIG Miami(I do not see the SEC wanting to take 3 FL teams plus I feel that Miami is more of a BIG fit) VT(Gets them in the VA market and a good brand) DUKE(Scoop up the biggest basketball brand left) Pitt(The most BIGequse brand in the ACC) OR NC State(I see them in the BIG 12 but you never know.
What have you guys got?

Does Clemson really want to be just another south East football school? Honestly ?

You're probably right. The BIG would love to expand their footprint into the Southeast. Clemson and FSU are attractive targets. At the end of the day we'll see who can work out the best deal with Television contracts revenue splits etc ...I'm not sure the SEC wants the BIG playing regular season football games in FL, or anywhere near Atlanta/Georgia, which Clemson is within spitting distance of. I'm sure UNC is attractive too, but nobody watches them for obvious reasons. Miami is still a national brand but they also have a weak football fanbase and don't attract eyeballs like they once did.
Somehow, someway the SEC is going to figure something out, or the BIG will.
I also don't see the Pitt's, Duke's etc....getting an invite this round. Maybe once the SEC and BIG expand past 20 members. Now is all about Clemson, Miami, FSU, and UNC.
Pitt and Duke could very well get left out if this thing doesn't grow above 44 teams. It's not a charity, and if the TV ROI isn't there expect lots of people at schools who think they matter to be disappointed.
P.S. Vandy should be very thankful they're already in the SEC. They do not come close to belonging in a 40 team field. You could also make the same argument for Mizzou, SCAR, Kentucky, Miss State, and Ole Miss that I made against Pitt, and Duke.

I also feel like the BIG is going to get Notre Dame at some point, and I feel like they would drop Pitt to take them.

I don't know that Clemson/FSU add enough value to the SEC

to take them. It's about eyeballs on screens, and Clemson fans already watch SEC games for the most part. They would add some, but is it enough to move the needle?
They could take them just to play defense to keep the B1G out of the South... and make no mistake... I fully believe the B1G is coming to the South. FSU/Clem would make the B1G much richer than it already is.

Clemson ranks #10 nationally in the eyeballs on the screen department, so I would think that that would make them attractive to either conference. Here's the problem. The SEC has to compete as the BIG grows. There are only 3 really big fish left, Clemson, FSU and Notre Dame. The SEC will be proactive as they've shown before about scooping up the big fish even if that increases the competition, and the second thing they've shown is that they are staying region based. Clemson and FSU fit both criteria. Personally, I think that the SEC lets the BIG crack Notre Dame and takes the other 2 big fish and cracks into the emerging markets of NC and VA. Now watch all that logic get crushed within weeks lol.

Maybe We Should Leave Poast Like This Up To The Experts

You know, experts like Bobby Dirkens. Bobby Dirkens could lead the ACC out of this mess with one phone call to Alex Jones. Both of them together could sort through this conspiracy mess on conference expansions and realignments.

Here’s mine….
B1G gets
1. Clemson (full share) 2. FSU (full share) 3. UNC (reduced share) 4. Miami (reduced share) 5. GT (reduced share)
SEC jumps in as reaction to B1G’s move, takes…
1. VT 2. NC State 3. Louisville 4. UVA (All at reduced share)
Big12 takes
1. Pitt 2. Syracuse
Duke, Wake, BC drop to smaller conferences or drop football altogether.
