2 and 8 ball on Duke's 23

watch #53 on Duke, he ends up more than 3 yards downfield. So, he's an ineligible receiver.

Both the safety and corner back trigger to the run. And #18 for Duke scores a wide-open TD.

How is that missed it's literally the reason for the touchdown, Clemson db's watch their film then get punished for non-mistake.

No. Wish I agreed. But receiver was already 20 yards behind our guys before the lineman came anywhere close to being 3 yards downfield. It was a busted coverage.

Yeah, busted coverage. Probably could get called in every game on each side. Kinda like holding is missed, or mis interpreted. Saying, I think holding could be called if it's blatant or if deemed to impeded the play.

Would have been chincy imo if a flag was thrown. And that goes for any team.

They’re going to miss a lot of calls. It’s worse when they call you for an infraction that should have been called the other way. Kind of like speeding. Lots of people speeding by and you get stopped. No one cares that the other people were speeding too even if faster than you.

Yep ... watched it several times and he was definitely 3 yards downfield when Mensah still had the ball in his hands. But it was still a busted coverage, as there was no indication that it was a running play. But then again we were not covering receivers when we were running step by step with them ....... juts not making plays.
