It highlighted the necessity to use the portal much more than we did last year. Just looks at USF and FSU for instance. An effective use of the portal (meaning more than just 3 players) allows us to go after qualified starters and some backups. We need to stop backfilling in open slots with local 2 star high school talent. That is not a winning formula. Personally, I think Dabo is beginning to figure this out.

Use of the Portal is determined by scholarship numbers not by wanting to. I know math is different now than it was when I was in Elementary School but recruiting is all about numbers anyway you look at it.
