I can actually understand...

Jun 2, 2012, 11:00 PM

Why so many are upset with Jack.

But Jack is a head coach, not a fan. He had to make decisions in our pitching staff to try and win today AND keep some firepower for the next game. He was trying to get out of a jam using the least amount of resources possible given our pitching is not deep.

In hindsight, did he make the right moves? Maybe not, but I understand his decisions. Its easy for us to be "Monday morning quarterbacks"...not so easy for him

Have no problems with the coaching today...it does seem

that when we're up against USuCk we never can make the right move or the move back fires. We are snakebit when it comes to them.

Actually....would have like to see Jack come out and put

the ump through the ringer on the interference call. I think he let him off easy..a little more fire would have been nice there.

The complaining of the pitching staff reminds me

Jun 2, 2012, 11:23 PM

of earlier this year

UNC game 1: Patrick Andrews throws a scoreless 8th. What do we do? Bring in our closer for the 9th, Gossett. He blows the save there. Everyone on here wonders why take out the guy who just threw the great 8th. Fire Jack, etc. etc.

UNC game 2: Patrick Andrews throws another scoreless 8th. What do we do? Leave him out there. He then blows the 9th. Blame Jack, fire him, should have known he was done etc. etc.

The armchair coaches got their move that they said we should have done and it just didn't work either way.

Re: Do we have a pitching staff? One to three pitchers

should not be called a staff. No one to blame except the guy who signed them.

I completely agree that it probably would have been a W if we left gossett in, but at what cost? His pitch count was up there and he's a freshman...I think we could have gotten a W if Brady would have just come in to begin with.

But like I said, he was trying to leave this game with some pitching left intact...while the moves we know now were wrong, you have to understand what his purpose was

he failed***
