I liked knowing who was going to play in the Natty by New Years Day better. They are dragging out what is already a slow time of year in early January.

and assuming that the next four are going to be ranked 5-8. At least one of the champs might be ranked further down. But at least the 2 Biggie conferences won’t have 2 teams with a bye

Some people have to work on Tuesdays. Jan 20th is kind of late in the year also.
College Football belongs on Saturday's. I'm ok with Thursdays and Fridays then HS is long over.
The day after our last title I was hung over, and I hadn't had any alcohol. But it was glorious.

I HATE IT!!!! They should have gone to 8 or 16 Teams. I loathe any Team getting Byes!!!!! Especially, multiple SEC and Big 10 Teams getting Byes.

I agree that there should be no byes. They will probably go to 16 at one point. Either way, byes are bullshyatt.

The only way to like this is if you are only watching these games on TV. There is no way fans can plan and afford to attend 3 straight road games to NFL stadiums across this entire country on 1 weeks notice. Teams like Ohio State will fill up the stadiums since they have a gazillion alumni and each stadium will be filled with different OSU fans.
For Clemson, it has to be the same folks going to all 3- not going to happen unless you are in top 1%

All it is about, it money, not football. It is about making the most $$$ you can with no true regard for the sport.
I like the controversy, the narratives, around the selection of the top 4.
Last year was crazy with FSU left out but it was very interesting listening to all the viewpoints and talking heads. Clemson had no skin in the fight so hearing all the whining/complaining was crazy and understandable....they are making the regular season less important for a main reason, SEC
All you do now is really allow teams 13/14/15 etc. to complain and for what reason ?? None of those teams are national championship caliber, not even close.
If anybody truly believes that a team ranked 7 or higher is a true national title contender, then I need to get that reasoning. There are only 3 or 4 teams that truly deserve the chance at national championships, not 12. The TV money and overpriced tickets is what this is all about.
