Obviously either our evaluation of secondary talent has been lacking and/or the coaching has been poor. A change seems to be needed.

The only thing I worry about is the recruiting aspect. Hopefully the guys he had a part in recruiting stay with Clemson because they want to be Tigers.

Well we haven't exactly recruited all-Americans as of late

Fair enough. I don't know how big of a part he had in recruiting Mackenzie Alexander, but I know he was high on us. Hope he still is, because the kid looks like a legitimate shut-down corner.

If he coaches their DBs to run downfield blindly, never turning to pick up the flight of the ball, I suspect Auburn will perform about like we have in the secondary over the past eight years. Our program improves with this move, regardless of who his replacement might be.
