Sadly, very few of them are left. And many of them, like my Father who was on Omaha Beach that morning, are very sad as to what has happened to this country.

My wife's uncle was an Army doc during that time. When he returned to NC and his medical practice there were times he was found to be crying while washing his hands for long lengths of time. When asked what he was doing, he said "I'm trying to wash off all the blood".

The grisly scenes from that invasion had to be awful.
