...AND YOU ARE IN THE WATER AT 7....it is diaheartening when your trolling motor battery decides tosay is the day it will die...Itbis lije your starting QB spraining an ankle of the first play...But..but..if you are hardcore,some may say crazy, you get in the water and drag your kayak all a mile or so up the river and just enjoy the day...coming out of the water at 4:45...pretty much worn out! Still.....it beat working...

spot on. They are mean!! I was about chest deep in the river on that one and I plopped him in the bottom of the kayak so I could get to my camera and he flopped about so much he knocked a $225.00 St. Croix rod and $200.00 Diawa reel overboard. Luckily...the hook was still in his mouth so I eased around to the other side of the kayak and hauled my gear back to me...

I don't know if this pic really shows you what it is like...but I was in the water from 7 AM to 4:30. I mean....IN THE WATER. I got in the kayak one time and paddle upstream about 500 yards and then I floated back to the truck when I ran out of the baits I was fishing with and honestly, that was a good thing. Most tired I have ever been from a fishing trip....I wonder how many calories you burn crawling over those rocks with a kayak tied to your waste all day...

Anyway, I lost 5 fish in a row out of this little tree behind me...BIG ONES....Just pulled off...I had a plastic jig on a topwater rod......WILL NOT DO THAT AGAIN......
