It's also obviously dumb to suggest wins is more important than a young man's personal health. Like it was suggested above, he shouldn't have even been starting but being the gamer Eubanks is he wanted to give the team what he could. Monte did the right thing. Don't fault him for the terrible pitching depth Jack Leggett left him with. Rebuilding takes time.

If you think the lack of quality pitching depth Monte inherited when taking over the program isn't Jack/Pepicelli's fault I'm not sure who we are supposed to be looking at to blame it on because you can't blame Monte for recruiting before he got here.

You asked why take him out. I gave an answer and explained why things went South after him/why we didn't have a fresh arm to start. That's where blame falls on JL. You start him bc last night would have been his weekly bullpen day anyways. He would have thrown about 45-50 pitches had it been any other week. You also start him instead of the other arms because no other available arm had a start to their names all year.

That would be one. A guy who was a starter all year and was fresh and hadn't thrown in a week. Not sure what that has to do with anything.
