Syracuse road trip! any tips?

Aug 11, 2023, 7:43 PM

Making the trek to NY next month (feels great to say that) for the game. Any tips, restaurants, things to do etc. while we are in the area? I’ll be traveling with a friend no kids or family- friendly requirements. Thanks, Go Tigers.

Cooperstown for sure! Maybe West Point if you have time.

Chow down on a huge Amish buffet on the way up or return.

Dinosaur bbq in Syracuse and Press Room Pub for some of your party while the rest wait in line…

Make the trip to Niagra (Canadian side).

We flew into Buffalo and did Anchor Bar which was also good.

If you're a baseball fan, Cooperstown isn't too far away.

If you've got extra time, take a side trip to Niagara Falls. If you have time and want to do it right, there are several hotels on the Canadian side with views of the falls from the rooms. Cave of the Winds on the American side takes an elevator down to the base of the falls and is like being in a tropical storm when you approach the falls. There's also a cave on the Canadian side that goes behind the falls, with openings behind the falls. Ferry boats on either side can take you up to the falls in the water.
