Pete Thamel is reporting he tore his achilles. Tough non-contact injury for a guy who was a real competitor.

I hope he can recover and resume his career.

I really hated it. Besides the sadness of seeing a young person get such an unlucky break, I think that beating a team at full strength is what we needed yesterday.

By that time in the game when Angeli went down for good, I was already deeply concerned that we wouldn’t come back. Strangely enough, I became more worried after Angeli’s injury; we faced getting beat by an average (at best) team that was further degraded by having lost its QB with ~ 1/3rd of the game remaining.

Then, it happened. At home. Wow.

Hate for him. Very sad. That’s a tough injury. Almost a year recovery time.

Hate it for the team too. They weren’t going to threaten in the league but another 10 win season was possible.
