Dabo's always tickled me when a sideline reporter asks him a question he'll talk all day whereas almost all other coaches give short terse answers. Dabo is as transparent as you could ask for.

I tune in because I have a BS detector unit installed on my device and Dabo's pressers are always the preferred test to see if my BS detector is working. It never fails to shut the audio off when he starts speaking. That is what the detector is designed to do.

If losing to Duke and Syracuse, SMU and all these others at home makes me a hater, I’m guilty as charged. There is no excuse for a guy that’s had all that success to let his program turn into a dumpster fire like it has.

It’s part of the game now. Every coach has to deal with it and do it. Except Dabo, right? But he still gets his 11 million while his program is sinking? It’s really not ok.
He deserves this offseason. He’ll get it. If he can’t get it done, he needs to go. That’s really it.

Im just responding in general and not to Hoodie specifically. A few on here might as well change their colors. Coach says he is not poaching and he is not cutting players. Pretty darn transparent to me.
So my real question is is the portal not a viable tool if you have not already poached your target?
At the end of the day seriously some of you are just making yourselves miserable. If you give just quit giving, but besides that there is not much of anything anyone on here can do.
The only poster on here that I know with a direct tie to Dabo is FM.

Whats funny to me is that those people know what coach speak is, know how to identify it, know its going to be in ANY CFB presser, still tune in anyway and THEN get mad about it.

Nobody’s looking for reasons, the reasons are right in front of us. When you’re sitting at 5–5 with one of the highest paid staffs in the country, hiring friends and family, and refusing to adapt to modern football, the criticism isn’t an agenda… it’s accountability. Clemson fans didn’t change. The results did. That’s on Dabo, not the people pointing it out

Calling accountability ‘camouflage’ is exactly what people do when they can’t defend the product on the field. Clemson is 5–5, the staff is paid like Alabama, and the hires look like a family reunion. That’s not camouflage, that’s a d@mn billboard. If you can’t tell the difference between complaining and holding a program to its own standard, your BS meter is the thing that’s broken.

I don’t think you know what this thread is even about. Please reread the OP. And if you listen to Dabo’s pressers, and you think he is just using coach speak, or isn’t addressing your concerns, stop listening. Or don’t, I don’t really care, but stop complaining, er… holding him accountable, after each presser because you are worked up because he used coach speak… again, or didn’t address your concerns… again. And if that’s not you, then I’m not really sure why you are responding in this thread which is dedicated to that subject.

Brother, you’ve spent so many years defending every excuse this staff throws out that you’ve convinced yourself anyone who expects better is ‘worked up.’ I don’t need to ‘listen to every presser’ to know the product on the field is mid. This is a fan board,people discuss concerns. If that bothers you, maybe stop acting like the hall monitor for grown men talking football. Not everyone is signing up for the sunshine-pumper fan club.

Race City responded to another poster that veered “off topic”. For all we know (and he eluded to the possibility), he doesn’t listen. If he, or anyone else for that matter, isn’t “staying on topic”, why do you respond about complainers camouflaging? Aren’t you taking the topic off course and into debatable territory?

As for the pressers, 90% of communication is nonverbal. You can read a lot about a man watching his face, shoulders, hands, eyes.
Where his head is at, where his emotions lie. At that time anyway.

When it seems you have a contradiction, check your premises. One of them will be wrong. I had two. One I suspect is still valid, he wanted to discuss further/argue but the other was wrong. It’s just an exercise. I do it often. To learn, to gauge others’ insight and to see if I could be wrong. Without wrong, there is no right. I’m willing to be wrong to see what is right.

Ftr, the two premises I had did not contradict one another, one of them (the wrong one) contradicted my premise of FM’s reasons for posting what he did.

Anyone tuning in to a presser from Dabo hoping to hear something different on this program, well, hasn't really listened to his pressers.
So I agree with the OP. Either listen or don't, and don't get fired up when he says the same thing he's been saying for almost two decades.

You know there is a lot of whining and complaining but I have noticed that the team has not given up and apparently he has not lost his locker room.
Have you heard one negative thing come out of a players mouth about DS?
If he wins the pressers are great… if he loses they are horrible, needs to shut up, blah blah blah.
Sometimes you just got to take the good with the bad in life. On another note it seems if you are not poaching you ain’t winning. So that’s where we are at and will be while Dabo is coaching.
