Chris Weinke was 28 in 2000 when he won the Heisman trophy. He played pro baseball and was 25 when he enrolled in college at Florida State.
South Carolina had Corey Jenkins who was 26 in 2002.
He had moved from qb to linebacker by the time they played us. He played baseball also. He’s still trying to figure how freshman Charlie Whitehurst faked him out and breezed into the end zone to clinch the 2002 game

Is there an age limit on college eligibility. I would think if not, you’d hear more often of some guy deciding he’s going to go and fulfill a dream he never went after and be a college offensive lineman at 38.
Some folks are late bloomers in body development and combine that with good genes and some smarts, I’d think there’s many guys out there who could put a 19 year old to shame in the experience and strength category. That’s why I’m assuming there has to be a age limit or you’d see more 35 year old Tight Ends who have a body that’s not taken a hit since high school and is a workout freak making a splash in college

I think in the near future, colleges will be able to draft, er "recruit" current or ex-NFL players, especially since there is no salary cap in college. I could see a team like UGa or Texas ATM simply purchasing the greatest team in the history of football.
