So, Nancy State tackle Anthony Belton was ejected for spitting on a Clemson defender right before halftime. The Clemson defense had just sacked Wusspack quarterback CJ Bailey. In the middle of the scrum, an official threw a flag well after the whistle and Belton’s ejection for unsportmanlike conduct was called.
In the post game interviews, Belton immediately accused a Clemson player of spitting on him first. In addition, the sideline reporter for ABC said a Clemson defender stepped on the head of Bailey. I'm not saying it didn't happen, but I watched the replay several time and I didn't see either of those things happen.
Can anyone else confirm or refute?

On someone’s head …
Did not happen..
You can see a Clemson player inadvertently step near his head…maybe from the ESPN reporters angle it appeared otherwise…
I believe TJ Parker described the incident best from a Clemson point of view…the interview was posted here on Tigernet…

I think TJ Parker summarized what actually happened pretty well. NC State is a trash program from top to bottom. Wish we'd hung a 100 on those idiots.

They came out of the gate talking trash....we could hear some of it from where we were seated (and man it was HOT on Saturday)....I have no doubt Doreen condones and encourages this type of behavior from his players. I can't honestly believe Clemson's coaches would tolerate this type of behavior.

Have not seen Parkers comments but I can tell you this
The Clemson player did not spit at all
He was talking trash and talking fast
The takeaway i have is that DoeRon thinks it was ok because his said the Clemson guy spit first. What kind of answer is that?
DoeRon is a small man!

yeah, that bee otch said right after it happened during the game that our guy stomped on his head and he was just coming to the defense of his QB. She said it mater of factly like she had some kind of inside scoop. You could clearly see that no one stomped on anyone's head in the replays.

You are correct. The silly sideline reporter was wrong and the broadcast team kind of called her out on that during the broadcast.

literally standing right next to them so I'm sure he saw/heard it. I find it pretty hard to believe that the State player got spit on first because a man's reaction to being spit on isn't to spit back, it's to get up in the face of the punk that spit on you.
Sideline reporter was clearly wrong about the QBs helmet getting stomped on. I'm sure it looked that way from her angle on the sideline, but it felt a bit irresponsible of her to report it in the manner she did.

1) The game was running late so ABC left immediately after the game.
2) Running down the hill happened during a long commercial break.

Well, when you take into account who NC State's coach is, Belton's response is pretty much exactly what you would expect.
No accountability for actions. I'm with you, nobody spat on him, and certainly no Tiger's foot came close to stepping on Bailey's head.
