player, an obvious penalty that was not called. Shouldn't that video be sent in to officials of both leagues, and esp. to Iowa State, who should punish the offender somehow. The Ref was only about 3 yards away, but appeared to act like he did not see it. He should suffer punishment also. If Booth were to finish the game, I doubt seriously that their QB would have completed that many passes leading to that TD. In fact, Booth would have probable intercepted at least one of them?

We live in a world where everything has to be made "right". Sometimes it shows more class just to move on.
Seems like I recall Booth getting jerked out of a game by Dabo for sucker punching somebody.
Booth and his assailant may meet up again one day. Let them settle it.

Yes. 2019 at Louisville he was ejected and had to return to Clemson with the equipment. That's probably why he wasn't allowed to return against ISU. Nothing good would have happened. It will all work out in the end.

I see your point but they may be co-workers (teammates) one day. Heat of the moment actions in one game doesn’t necessarily make lifetime enemies. Go tigers!!

How do you “know” the ref saw it? He may have been looking elsewhere at that moment. Plus, it looked more like an eye gouge than a sucker punch to me.

If anything, make sure the officiating crew sees the video for training purposes. No need for punitive action against the player or official at this point. And yes, Booth is the guy that got ejected for a punch a couple of years ago and Louisville and Dabo made him ride the bus home instead of flying. Did you notice Dabo was right there on the field with the trainers attending to Booth to make sure he kept his composure? He knows his players.

Correct^ there has to be some accountability. If you don’t show people what they did wrong they will never know. We will continue to have officials who are oblivious to what goes on during a play.
