Yep. Often go into the commercial break with an "in studio" commercial, go to 3-4 minutes of commercials, and come back from the break with another "in studio" commercial. And then there's Qualk's "personal weight loss journey" infomercial.

just for that reason. Sports talk seems to be even worse. Like you said, they come back from "official" commercials and into the host reading a commercial, or worse yet, talking to a guest about a product/service which is basically a commercial, too. I could listen for 30 minutes and hear, literally, maybe 5-10 minutes of good sports talk. No thanks.

The "personalities" need content to fill the air time between commercials. Simply put there are not enough interesting topics to fill the day so they latch on to anything available.

I enjoy channels 82,83 and 84 on my Sirius/XM. Mad Dog sports is one of my favorites.

Doesn’t seem to be a lot if prep. Sure it is tough to balance host providing information and generating call-ins. I would want Qualk to be my neighbor or little brother but I swear his screaming on the radio is awful. Can’t take it. He and Kelly were always prepared and struck a great balance with callers and providing information. They were funny too. Walt does prepare and takes good care of his show. Illicits great call-ins too.
