Split ACC between SEC and Big 10

Not saying this is the best option but I’ve seen everything else. Send eight teams to the SEC (Miami, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Clemson, UNC, NC State, Duke, Wake). That would give the SEC 24 teams. They could split into four six-team divisions. The other six ACC teams (Virginia, Virginia Tech, Louisville, Pitt, Syracuse, BC) would go to the Big 10. They could pick up two more (Notre Dame and Cincinnati for example) to also get to 24.

This might be the most likely scenario except I don’t see the whole ACC getting selected. 8 teams would likely void the GOR. The question is could the SEC/B1G settle on who gets first pick.

North Carolina Virginia Georgia Tech all turned down the big ten in 2010 . I bet they wished they had a time machine

Would South Carolina throw a fit if Clemson was added ? Would Florida ? Would anyone care if they did ? Thinking A and M and Texas

altruistic Mr. Galt. Something the SEC is not in favor of and neither should you.

I could see the following shaping up if they're headed to 24 each:
To SEC:
Clemson FSU UNC NC State OK State Nebraska UVA Va Tech
To B1G: Miami Ga Tech Stanford Notre Dame Oregon Washington Pitt AZ State Arizona
The Big X?? would get the rest.

Miami and ASU are not aau and the college presidents won’t vote for that unless it’s from South Bend . Big ten wouldn’t associate itself with Miami and the more I read I don’t think the SEC would either . I don’t see any school leaving big ten or sec. Everything you said makes sense but you have to fracture in who decides . College presidents . And no matter what we want or like or think those presidents honestly care about academics. Insert your own punchline sure but they vote .

It would be a lateral move for Nebraska, but back into a geographic alignment that works better. They are lost in the B1G and have no future until they realign with OK and Texas schools. This mega-merger would right that ship.
AAU will take a back seat to FOX $$, at least for the football portion.
Go Tigers.
