He spent what 7 years in college football going through the TP 3 or 4 times. Did he finally run out of college eligibility!!! “ Scotty Energize “
I will always remember “ Never Again “ then we ran off 7 consecutive W’s. Looking for number 8 this coming season. I hope Dabo has that quote carved into a headstone in our graveyard.
The Bentley will go down in coot history for that famous quote and the convenient foot injury the next year. But his imo Jake will go down in coot history for the famous Bentley flop.

I know it's easy to make fun of Jake Bentley for his "Never Again" comment and he did not develop into the QB he was projected to become out of High School. That being said, I hated when Jake went to South Carolina, and the Coots, but let me say this, If you ever met Jake in person, you would find out that he is one of the nicest people you would ever meet. It's fine to "hate on" him as a Gamecock, but as a person he is a great guy! As for his college football career, it is over after Carolina and playing one year at Utah and one year at S. Alabama. Jake is now a Grad Assistant at Florida Atlantic,in Boca Raton, Fl. and working on his Masters.
I've know Jake since he was born, and if putting other people down makes you feel better about yourself, go right ahead, but know when you put Jake Bentley down, you don't know him or you would know better.
Grow up!

A freshman in college said something stupid; quick stop the presses! We used it as bulletin board material the next time we played em and then he left and it became an irrelevant quote. If you wanna keep dragging a former cack for being and idiot you should focus on Clowney or Swearinger they’re still acting tha fool.
I bet you’re also one of those guys that celebrates that Bowman isn’t having a great career at Florida too.

I have met Jake and is a nice guy. And in all fairness to Jake the announcers brought much of this on him being in HS stuff. When Jake made the Never again statement I think he was just trying to be a leader. Either he did not realized just how bad SC football was and is or he thought his statement would motivate the coots. But being a little to bold especially at cootsville he opened himself up as a target. And the Bentley flop certainly did not help his image.
I wish him well. I think he will make a great coach maybe even a HC one day.
