When we haven’t even played a game yet? Feels unearned at this point. I’m happy to think we will be the best, but seems too soon. Thoughts?

Being No. 4 don't mean nothing now. Or maybe I should say an unnecessary target was put on us when THEY made us No. 4...
Now if we win when expected to or not expected to.....then we create our ranking and hype.
This actually goes for every single team out there

Easy. Draft boards and scouts say we have more talent returning than anyone. If tom Allan improves our tackling and we stay reasonably healthy it’s going to be a fun ride.

and we’re 1st with returning production (81%) and 1st in returning freshmen snaps. That’s likely lending to a lot of the hype.

Last year the team was 10-4.
The offense is back intact … so will be improved.
The defense got a staff shakeup, so it is projected that the defense will improve.
So … 10-4 and everything is improved … the hype, the optimism seems reasonable to me.

Rat Poison!! I have never seen the talking heads heap praise on Clemson FB like this, even in the glory years when we deserved it but did not get it. It is not a good sign when ESPN/Disney is on your side......State Farm? Maybe........not ESECPN!!
