If we play like we did at auburn too often this season , we will lose more than just once. Glad we won. Yes we did some good things. But that won't win us any championships. That's a fact.

Huge win in a tough environment, against one of the top defensive lines in America.
I'll take it. It's a win, bottom line.

I am one of those sunshine pumpers. But I do agree we can't play like we did in Auburn and expect to go undefeated.
But here is where my sunshine come in. It was the first game of the season and they have the opportunity to get better and learn from their mistakes.
Just like anything in life. If you have a good foundation and the right mindset......more experience, more pratice, and more time can only make you better and more efficient.
I believe.

If y'all play like you did at Vandy you won't win 6th place SEC East rings either. That's a fact.

Some of you negative nancy's are more wrong. Were there mistakes, yes. Will they get corrected, yes. Was that the first game of the season, on the ROAD, in a very hostile environment (not just in the 30,000's like ahem Vandy), against a team that did have a good defense as expected?...yes.
If you didn't notice, our defense looked really good for a first game after losing guys, several major players. Auburn threw the oddest type of offense I've ever seen in a college game at us, tons of QB rotation, Wing-T's, odd formations, etc...and our defense STILL held them to 13 points, small rushing yards, and played flat out good (don't count the ending...that's how Venables' prevent defense has ALWAYS looked, even during last year's Natty run. That defense will also help in games like Louisville, Fl State, etc. If you had seen a bad defense, I'd be worried, but we didn't. Game is on right now if you need to re-assess again.
The offense didn't click on all cylinders, but there is several positive notes...Wayne over 100 yards rushing...Mike Williams looks like he's fully back to being the receiver we all knew. They'll work the kinks out the next few weeks, then this game will be an after thought. Whether or not everyone wants to complain about the FG is irrelevant (I myself wasn't too happy about the decision)...BUT we WON. We're just delving on an "almost". Things will get better. Enjoy the win guys....it's one of many we should have. At least we aren't LSU, ND, Oklahoma today.
