So who's call is it to pull a pitcher?

Is Monte giving A. See control of the pitchers since he is the pitching coach and goes out to talk with them.

So is it Andrew See's call to pull a pitcher when he is gassed and not throwing his best? Combination of Monte and See???

If so there has been a handful of times when he went to long to make the call. (See 5th inning last night)

As in some of my previous post over the years I am not a big fan of A. See. I think we can do better. Get a better pitching coach and a lot of our problems go away. (blowing leads, holding on to the 1 one run lead in the 9th, etc...)

coach w/ the head coach having the final say. Pitching coach can visit as he deems necessary but to pull he needs Monte's blessing or direction. Would be very unusual for the pitching coach to be able to make the call unilaterally.

But then again, the modern game with its launch angles, tiny beepers, valuation of a strikeout vs. chance of an extra base hit...plus taking into account biometrics, genetics, nutrition and astrological sign...maybe See has all the power...or maybe there's someone/something else behind the curtain.

See consults Monte before pulling pitchers. Everything goes through Monte.
