Not a lot of good questions either. Why did no one ask that if any thought was given to trying a different RB since Randall was so ineffective. 2.9 ypc is not going to get it done. They had a QB that was not 100%, why did Allen not call more blitzes?

Agreed not a lot of answers …but way better than that crap after Georgia Tech.
Take the blame and say you are doing your best to improve…. That’s really all you can say.
Kudos to CDS for following the “less is more” doctrine

The changes you want should have been made a long time ago when they were recruiting. The players are good, but they aint great and no amount of coaching is going to make them great. You want better results - get better players, pay them and compete in the NIL arena, not only the playing field. These are the best players we could pay for. Relationships do matter, but they are now a part of the equation, not the only thing. Pay for play, NIL, transfer portal, how do you think all these things play a role in the motivation of a player, not only to play better, but whether or not they come to the school at all?? OSU still has the best players. BAMA still has the best players. They have more money for one and they did a better job of evaluating the talent.

Unless he has written permission from Wesco & his family, Dabo cannot legally give any details about the injury or treatment (a little thing called HIPPA).

Whenever someone calls it "HIPPA" you know they don't know what they're talking about.
Dabo is not a healthcare provider or an otherwise covered entity and thus not bound by HIPAA. If he has been told the exact nature of Wesco's injury he is under no legal obligation to keep it secret. That does not mean he should reveal it, but he's not bound by any law.

Small correction: there's an outside chance he's bound by FERPA depending on exactly how football player injuries are treated, but that's highly unlikely.

While Dabo may technically be covered by HIPPA, the NCAA has determined that neither schools nor conferences cannot release player health information withouta signed release by the player in question. If Bryant or the Wesco family do not want Dabo to discuss details of Bryant's injury to the media, why should he? To satisfy fan curiosity? As fans, details of his medical care are really none of our business. And don't use the money argument. Do you see professional sports leagues releasing player medical information without a signed consent from the player? I don't think so.

I'm not sure what point you're trying to make. You claimed it was HIPAA related, something you've misspelled as "HIPPA" twice now. It's not. At best it's quasi-contractual but that's pretty unlikely to be defensible in court if it came down to it. In professional leagues things like that are handled by the CBA.
I agree there's no reason to say anything more by Dabo, but he's not constrained by a law.

Clemson as an institution with significant responsibility for a student’s health and well being would be stupid to dink around with HIPPA laws by revealing health information about a student without prior written authorization from the student or his legal guardians.
Dabo is a high level employee of Clemson University. If Dabo does something careless with respect to violating a student’s HIPPA rights, then Clemson University could find itself in big trouble.
Now, is it likely that Clemson would find itself in big legal trouble if they violate HIPPA laws and reveal full health information about Wesco’s injury? Probably not.
However, ‘probably not’ is a terrible philosophy to embrace as far as keeping out of legal hot water.

Exactly! Also, potential lawsuits. Wesco might sue Clemson if he can’t play at Clemson or nfl. Injury lawsuits are coming to an ncaa school near you.

BUT you know Dabo will NEVER show his hand. He was saying Streeter was our guy and not going anywhere up til he let him go. Same either Wes, we find out when the rest of the world does. He absolutely is going to make big changes this off-season. No question about it.

Define “compete” for us Dabo. That’s your favorite set of keywords this year. “Competed our butts off”.
I’m not sure we were competition at any spot for SMU except WR and QB.
Maybe we should make up some t shirts, a la “BYOG”. “CYBO”. Compete Your Butt Off. that’s all that matters, just compete some and you’re Clemson football material.

I remember in intramural flag football we went against a team physically superior to us but we competed our butts off. Lost by three scores or so. Not sure the other team knew we were competing our butts off. They just thought it was a walk through.

Dabo is sounding more and more like a cross between Tommy ( half the teams lose every week) and Ray ( we're going to get better I guarantee you) Goff. Sad how Dabos hubris is killing the program he built.

“We just weren’t good.” - Dabo Swinney You don’t have to make a multi-million dollar salary to come up with that assessment. I have a mid-5-figure salary and came up with that one myself! Can someone please bump me up to 8-figures? I’m willing to take the hot seat! Heck, I’ll cut my old Alma mater a deal and make it low 7-figures! Set the bar low and then nobody’s disappointed when you don’t deliver, right? That’s Dabo’s problem; he keeps blindly clinging to the notion that Clemson will somehow “win more championships” with him and his staff. I think that ship may have sailed, unfortunately. This was the week to make some staff changes around CFB; I hear ol’ Billy Napier is back in the job market again. Why not bring him back to dear old Clemson?

I don't know what the answer is guys. I feel for Dabo (as much as you can for someone making his salary ha). He built our entire program and had such great success from old school recruiting. He built great relationships with recruits, and sold our great school/program to recruits and parents. And now it's all changed and money has entered the scene. I can't even imagine how complicated things are now. I mean...Duke's qb is making $4 million/year...can you even imagine those words being put together 5 years ago?! I want to give dabo one more offseason to get things straightened out. I honestly think this year has been really eye opening to him and he will make serious changes. I am concerned how far we have fallen though from the days of sammy, nuk, beasley, and christian wilkins. But I'm still in the wait and see what happens. Dabo has 2 national championships...so yeh, I think he's earned a few rough patches to get things figured out through this complete 180 in ncaa football rules. But there needs to be massive changes to the program...in my opinion. Dabo isn't going to make any big decisions mid season...so I'm going to be try to be patient and see what happens. Geez I wish we could just go back to college football before NIL and the portal... Go ahead and roast me lol...I know I'm in the minority here

“ what you’re seeing on the field is the fact that we have an over inflated coaching staff full of unqualified people that I just want to pay because they’re my friends and family, and quite frankly I don’t give a crap, we won twonational championships that you people would’ve never gotten without me so I’m just gonna do what the heck I want and you’re gonna like it, well, I’m gonna take my 12 million a year and peace out in Venice”

Come on Dabo, man up and grow some gonads and fire these Coaches that aren't doing their job..They ain't gonna get any better brother!!!

Sure Dabo, get your boys ready for another good ole' fashion A$$ whopping again, you'll do the same ole' thing all over again with the same results.. If you don't make changes after this one, you never will!!
Allen was supposed to come in loaded with all his brilliance and experience and he ain't delivered nothing but disappointment!! The worst our defense has ever been!!! Apparently, our boys just don't want to play for him. He should be one of the first to go...

We can’t keep doing the same thing and expect different results results. Someone needs to make some hard choices; if Dabo can’t then maybe the athletic director should . Except for a few players, most look like they don’t even want to be playing . This is not acceptable. I would rather we lose with a bunch of guys that are really working hard during all 4 quarters than what we have now. When is enough, enough!!!!!

At least he didn't blame the fans this time. That's a plus!

He must have watched a different game than I did. I didn't see many positives at all, except I was positive we got our as s's kicked again.
