So for the all American faith family halftime show

Erika Kirks first pick is an artist whose lyrics are filled with references to drunkeness, sex, and who was arrested and caught on video using the N word.
Not surprising. We all know the real reason this is show is going on.

Sooo... they're having rappers for this show?
You seem to be expending a lot of energy worrying about a concert.

Morgan Wallen.
Like his music but seems kind of laughable considering the supposed reasons for boycotting.

I mean you really think the #1 charting country artist in the nation right now has agreed to a high profile concert and the only people who know about it is a rando facebook account called country soul? You’re almost as bad as VajajayAK who posts nuclear strike info from twitter.

From what I'm hearing, it might only be Lara Trump and autotune. Skeletor was busy.

Personally I believe that Bad Bunny is the halftime show is simple. Other acts don't walk away from this event, they run. Imagine trying to book an act for one of the most watched 15-20 minutes of your career and you have to appeal to a multigenerational, multicultural audience. For a lot of the acts, it's been there done that. Nobody wants to do it anymore.
Except maybe Slash.

People don't turn this down. It's not just one of the most-watched moments of a music career, it's the absolute most by a mile.
And that's the deal with anyone choosing to play the white supremacist halftime show. Anyone choosing to do that is risking never getting a chance at the superbowl halftime.

Why is Bad Bunny not American enough?
If it was the "Faith and Family halftime show" you could make an argument that nationality is not a factor.
But the fact that many out spoken critics have mentioned they want the songs in english and they are calling it the "all american" halftime show points to it being at least a little about race...

You are chicken little. The fact is that Jay-Z selected him to prove a point. Most people watching the Super Bowl do not want to hear a singer who only sings in Spanish. Keep getting upset and making a big deal over nothing. People that do not want him as half time entertainment are not racists and are just next door neighbors who just prefer somebody else as the entertainment .

"Most people watching the Super Bowl do not want to hear a singer who only sings in Spanish."
The NFL does not care about the people that are already watching the Super Bowl. They are trying to attract more viewers. That's why there's no country artists, no septuagenarian rock stars... They are looking to add international fans and hispanic US fans... people who wouldn't have otherwise cared about the game that will now tune in to watch the most popular musician in the world.
If Taylor Swift farting into a trumpet for 20 minutes would gain them millions of viewers they'd probably book that as the Super Bowl Halftime show.
