CFP remains unaffected and is still on for this winter.
Scholarship waivers are for all sports, including both subdivisions in D1 football.

Since it is mentioned that teams are essentially going to have two freshman classes, they (NCAA) should have temporarily increased the amount of overall scholarships a team can have (more than 85). That number might need to be at 105 or 110 for a couple of years to allow a gradual transition back to 85.

So, with 'two' freshmen classes...will Georgia have dual Recruiting 'Championships'?...

That means extra money from somewhere will be needed. Right?

And that means a number of extra scholarships will have to come from somewhere. Eighty five was a lot and now we may need a hundred!

In our paper this morning (Rome, GA) it listed as an example that after this season Trevor Lawrence would still have two years of eligibility should he choose to take them. Basically everyone on the team is now +1.

Maybe if Powell turns out to be a late bloomer this would benefit him. Hopefully he shows out this season.
