The announcement is made that Clemson and South Carolina will move to a home and home series. The first game to be played at Clemson will occur during the 1960 season.
- Clemson then proceeds to shutout the Gamechickens in front of a record attendance in Columbia.
And Clemson holds its first ever Tigerama!!

“The 1957 Clemson Tigers football team was an American football team that represented Clemson College in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) during the 1957 college football season. In its 18th season under head coach Frank Howard, the team compiled a 7–3 record (4–3 against conference opponents), tied for third place in the ACC, was ranked No. 18 in the final Coaches Poll, and outscored opponents by a total of 216 to 78.”

Guard John Grdijan and Leon Kaltenback were the team captains. The team's statistical leaders included quarterback Harvey White with 841 passing yards, fullback Bob Spooner with 358 rushing yards, and Spooner and halfback Bill Mathis with 30 points (five touchdowns) each.

“He tied for Clemson’s scoring lead in 1957 and was the ACC’s scoring leader in 1959 with 11 touchdowns and 70 total points as a senior. He was also the Clemson’s punting average leader in 1958. Mathis, who also competed in track during his Clemson tenure, is still responsible for the sixth-longest play in school history, a 99-yard kickoff return against Georgia Tech in 1959.”

Ohhh I think I know why. I copied the twitter post from Levi Matthew’s Clemson bio. If you go to his bio you will see the same twitter post under his 2024 information. That’s why the link is so long I think. When you look at my link you can see some key words in it. Like “clemsontigers.com%”.
I don’t know why it did that though. Because I clicked on the post and it brought me straight to the twitter post. I then copied the post link. So I don’t know why it added the url of the Clemson website.

Kinda miss posting in the Hill Watch everyday. I might do that next countdown and find some kind of connection between the day and something.
It's just work changes our schedule about annually and sometimes our duties. And other factors like vacation season changes our work load. Looking forward to retirement in about 33 months (counting down) when I turn 67. Not as fortunate as some to retire early, but not gonna work as long as some like clover65®. Btw, hope his back eases up.
I also miss seeing InspectorM be one of the first to post with the Andy Griffith reference and 76er® looking to put people over the top with ten TUs. But I see some of new names and contributors. Carry on the tradition.
