Cook-out question from new member
Jun 26, 2016, 12:49 PM
|
|
Hi Tnet,
I've been a reader of these "boreds" for some time but finally decided to give registration a try. I've been a passionate Tiger Fan for 20 years now. I'm excited to be able to join the best Tiger community on the internet!
My question is, does anyone know when the 2016 All-In Cookout is going to be and is the public able to purchase tickets?
Thanks!

Actually, I live out-of-state so I don't know the exact details of the cook outs which have been happening since 2012. Thanks.

Thanks, I kinda figured just wanted to make sure. But it seems that I did see something a few years ago that involved dinner with Dabo and admission tickets, was that some sort of Alumni or student function?

Ok, looks like this year has passed already and it seemed to be in G-ville. I don't know why I thought there was another event in Clemson, but oh well.

"Intimate" cookout with our recruits. Has served well and have some big commits over the last few years at the cookout. Unfortunately you and I aren't invited. I think the date is maybe not widely advertised but it was July 19th last year. So I'm guessing it will be a date close to then. Our recruiting has been a touch quiet of late, hoping that this will be a kickoff til the rest of an outstanding recruiting year. As others have eloquently discussed, we aren't recruiting a lot but our stars/commit average will be one of the best.

at first glance. Not that I'd wish injury to anyone.. that would have been a huge blow to our main competition.

I'm pretty sure that it's for the recruits, their families, and the recruits host only.

unless there's a pre-existing relationship like family. Let the coaches do their jobs and don't give them reason to worry about inadvertant violations committed by boosters. It's a complicated web of rules that takes a dedicated staff (and director of compliance) to navigate.

know but I won't tell you. Why? Because you could easily be one of our opponents' "spies" trying to find the date and try to keep our recruits away from the cookout. I know for a fact there are two schools desperately trying to find out so they can try and schedule something to keep some of their targets away from us.
So you will read about it at the appropriate time, the dominoes are getting ready to fall.
