Just curious, not inciting anything

The lady at the Phillies/Marlins baseball game that got mad at the kid's father that got the baseball before she did and went over and "talked" (loudly, but they were at a baseball game) to him until he gave her the ball. She didn't appear to touch him at any point.
She was fired from her job for embarrassing her employer with all the backlash on social media that even called her out by name. She is also not allowed to ever work in her profession again (ironic that she was employed in education).
So how is this different from the issue with the CU professor?

She touched the Dad on the shoulder. I think she might have a legal recourse for being terminated. She might also need counseling because it was silly to get upset about a baseball. The Dad showed a lot of restraint by just letting the issue go.

Probably not much different. I don't think the idiot prof should be fired due to him being so vague, but I think you are correct about the simililarity.

Totally different. One influences and controls students futures, one does not.

The professor is in direct control over his students. If they feel like his views can affect their grade, then they are compromised.

It’s amazing to me that people never think to check to see if something they saw on social media is actually true or not.

I know I didn't believe it right away, when the false report said she worked in public education. Those are usually union positions, especially in a pro-union state like NJ. There would have had to be a lengthy process to get a union person terminated, and I doubt it would have been successful.

OK...now I'm the one guilty of not reading up....the false report said she was an ADMINISTRATOR, not a teacher. So my stance that she would have been protected by a union is a wet fart. If she was Admin, less likely to be Union. Maybe protected by a contract with a hefty golden parachute. But the point remains...I didn't do proper research myself.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to the dunce corner now.

So you tell me not to believe everything on the innerwebs and then you post an article from snopes! That made me laugh out loud!! That’s rich! Pot meet kettle.

I’m confused, do you actually think she was fired? Yahoo also reported it, because it’s factual.

Was concerns me is just the angry in people. A woman tried her best in the scramble but lost the ball. In the video I did not see anyone commit any improper acts committed against her.
Wow ! what people will do for a MLB baseball. I caught 3 or 4 during Atlanta Braves games. I would always look for a kid who brought his and toss the kid the ball. Just to see the smile on the kid and the excitement from the kid was gratifying for me.
Karen needs some mental health treatment. To take away a kids ball is really selfish on her part.
Folks Karma is real. It’s Gods way of allowing you to suffer the consequences for your actions.
This is how far we a fallen from kindness and respect for others. Good luck getting the ball autographed.

You do know the "reports" that she was a school administrator who has since been fired were false right?
"Phillies Karen" has yet to be credibly identified.

...um again - she has not been credibly identified.
And no, it would not? The Phillies are a private organization and any ticket you buy to any major sporting even is going to have some wide reaching "code of conduct" rider on it that basically gives the organization the ammo to ban you for whatever they want.
I really don't know why it's so hard for some people to understand: If you're not talking about an interaction with a government entity the first amendment is, by and large, completely irrelevant. Protected speech with regards to private companies is predominantly bound by things like whistleblower laws.

Is there a right to attend a Phillies game somewhere in the constitution?
If you embarrass your employer (and again, no evidence anything has happened to her with regard to her employment) they should be able to fire you.

These kind of things are just better off if we leave them alone. I understand the Bill of Rights but life is hard enough without getting involved in events that we have no dog in the fight and can do nothing to make a difference either way.

Excuse me sir. When she walked up to the father, she immediately placed her hand on his shoulder with his back turned to her. Did you not see the father turn, and immediately raise his hands into "guns on position" in anticipation of repelling an attack? Had it been me, I would have recoiled and decked the B(*&^ first and asked questions later. The father exhibited better father/son control than I would have, in an instant, under the situation! She is lucky she did not end up in an emergency room!!!

I'm not condoning what she did, but it's interesting the difference between her and the CU professor. He probably should have gotten repercussions for basically celebrating Charlie Kirk getting shot and killed. Not sure if that should have incleded getting fired , but at leat a suspension.
Another poster was posting replies in a thread comparing the reaction to Charlie Kirk getting shot to the reaction to some Minnesota politicians getting murdered. It was less of a media reaction, but nobody was on social celebrating it.
I just thought it was weird that a woman arguing about a ball at a game got her probably 100 percent negative reaction and consequenses, while a public figure getting murdered/assassinated was basically celebrated by some with no consequences. It's a strange world we live in, but God is still good.

Why on earth would you think she’s “not allowed to work in her profession ever again”? That’s completely illogical and impossible.
