Sharing revenue /NIL

NCAA wouldn't address paying athletes - I believe it was a bunch of power playes, predominantly white who didn’t want to pay predominantly black athletes who generated millions of dollars nation wide so courts “fixed it.”
2 things - establish a clearinghouse where NIL $ must be deposited. Like a bank. Players must register. Paid and taxed as a contractor, and pay taxes. NCAA squad lists on file and updated to ensure permissible payments.
Secondly, at end of semester, put 10,000 in an annuity for every registered team member who earned a letter and still eligible. Remember 105 kids ate getting a full ride.

What a joke of a post making this racial. Also, your first "thing" is illegal. Your second "thing" would reduce what the school is paying them by something like 15x.

Initial eligibility clearinghouse is not illegal. Check conference office staff members gender and race. Check NCAA office staff for same. Check bowl offices for same. Athletic department staff same in the power conferences.

Those are employees. What would an "eligibility clearinghouse" legally be able to do about an agreement between an individual and a business around NIL? And why would they legally be able to hold those funds as an intermediary? The courts have already spoken on that.

Dear Shirley,
What you've just written is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever read. At no point in your rambling, incoherent post were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone on this board is now dumber for having read it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

NIL has always been taxed either a W-2 or a 1099 depending on how the athlete is "employed".

I got different information. Thanks. Stories of huge tax bills due and money spent with no money to pay. Nice truck.

NIL has been around for many decades, it was just under the table. Many players got paid, black and white. Ain't nothing new, except now you know about it.
