Yeah, I know, this whole being ranked in the top ten is garbage. Our coaches are idiots.

He’s like 6 for his last 45 or something crazy like that. He hardly has any rbis and has no power for a 3 hole hitter. He has no business anywhere near the top of a lineup.

Yet we continue to be one of the nation’s best teams. What’s up with that?
Amirite?

I bet you wouldn’t debate it face to face with Monte Lee.
How’s that?

here is an idea. let coach lee coach the team. he gets paid handsomely to make these decisions. i will go with coach lee instead of a bunch of goobers on tigernet. no one agrees with every call a coach makes. but they have been doing this quite a long time.

Why wouldn't he?? do you believe he is scared.. a smaller man?? just curious.. I'll state that I'm very happy with how this baseball season is going and happy with the way Coach Lee is bringing the team along.. I do however,, chuckle at these comments that come along sometimes.. regarding discussing "face to face" the decisions with a certain sports team with the coach in question... feels like a middle school stare down..

That comment always makes me laugh, I guess you think monte is going to beat the shyatt out of him if he asked. My guess is monte would say"because that's where I want him hitting". I plan to one day ask muschchamp why he started a 14 year old at qb, will he hit me? Who knows

Putting things in perspective. These are the official records before tonight's game. Beer was our leading hitter at .284, Cromwell was hitting .260 and our team average was.250. If Cromwell was 6 for 45 something during his current slump, then his average before his slump was over .370. Byrd was .261 before tonight's game. So, replacing Cromwell in the lineup would not improve the overall hitting average, and, if moved in the batting lineup, where would you place him?

You simply move Cromwell to the 7-8-9 hole to allow him to see better pitches and take some of the pressure off of him. #1- Hes been abysmal vs LH pitching and one could make an argument he shouldn’t get the start vs LH. #2- viable 3 hole hitters don’t slump like this. They usually work themselves out by now...IE Seth Beer or Chris Williams. We saw on a few occasions that teams were pitching around Beer to get to our #3 hole hitter...that’s alarming!!!
Or maybe simply he was just over achieving the first few weeks of the season and now he’s balancing out. Who knows. Whatever it is, he’s not being done any favors by keeping him at the top...

Davidson Beer Williams Jolly Wharton Cromwell Greene Wilkie Byrd
Possibly put Greene in front of beer and just move everybody down a slot except Wilkie and Byrd. I would leave Greene alone though

Yes it will
With Meredith in the outfield, that most likely puts Jolly back at DH. Byrd DH last night but now it would probably be best to put Byrd at 3rd (just for a game or 2 for Cromwell) If Wilkie starts struggling and Cromwell needs back in then Williams can catch and Cromwell to 1st Base. Lots of options which is a good problem to have.

Coach could do that and it would make sense but it also makes since to leaves things alone since the offense has come around some. Either way works
