It's really funny how when they get called out by anybody about how relevant they are, they immediately go to 5 in a row, say Clemson is stuck in the past and they are the future but can't get over Clemson. Nice to know that Clemson is what makes them relevant in the SEC and nation.

But one thing I'm wondering (and it's really pointless in the grand scheme of things especially in the argument) but one comment waaaaaay down there claims that Clemson has fewer alumni than Carolina. What I'm wondering is: does Carolina count those graduates from USC Upstate, USC Beaufort, USC Aiken, USC Salkehatchie, USC Union, USC Lancaster and USC Sumter? Yes, they fall under the USC banner, but as someone who graduated from one of those "satellite schools," I know the importance that the administration in several of those schools places on trying to identify ourselves as our own institutions and not stepping stones to Columbia. Upstate is a D1 program and tries very hard to distance itself from Columbia and Aiken (where I'm from) receives less than 10% of their overall budget from Columbia. Again, the number of alumni is really not THAT important in any argument, but it would seem that SC is more a Phoenix online with how many alumni they have and having a smaller alumni base like Clemson makes you more prestigious because it's tougher to get into and to graduate from.

that those with an investment as a student are more reasonable in their rationale or are at least in my presence. I will invariably counter a debate with "show me your math" which pretty much neutralizes the issue. I do have some that have no investment with the uni and their "math" has no relevancy on how it is perceived- they have no tie to the perception of the school. One cannot tell them they are only embarrassing themselves. I find it noteworthy that I've not once heard spurrier (or any other for that matter) say lets be classy, or show carolina integrity, or if we are going to do this lets do it right. I do hear excuses for poor behavior though.
