DL has been our most consistent position group over the years. He must be an excellent coach.

His position groups productivity speaks for itself. This man is as good as it gets anywhere, and while we will hard pressed to fill his shoes easily, I have faith that coach DS will find another gem.

I too would like to see Brentson Buckner as the hire. Eleven years in the NFL as a player, and I know he was the defensive line coach for the Arizona Cardinals in 2015. I don't know if he was the coach there in 2016 though. He has also been an NFL Network and ESPN NFL analyst. I believe he would be a great hire. He would likely be an outstanding recruiter as well

I believe Dabo spent some time with him while he was out in Arizona, along with the other Tigers who are part of the Arizona Cardinal organization. I am sure Dabo knew of coach Brooks intentions then. May not be Dabo's choice but I am sure a conversation took place.

Coach Brooks will be sorely and I do mean sorely missed. But we do have a HC that has been able to fill spots with great people taking another's place!!! Dabo will do what's best for our team, and that is why we are National Champions 8 years after having a solid green HC taking over our Tigers!!!

I like the idea of Buckner, but would he take a big step back? It has to be a step down in pay as well. Whats D. Bowers doing rhese days?

You knew year in and year out what you were getting from a production standpoint from his defensive tackles. This is a really big loss. Hope Dabo hires the right guy to replace him.
